The Black Banjo Then and Now Gathering is an entirely volunteer effort. We don’t have big corporations, a major university, other major staffs, or big foundations behind us. We do have people like you who understand the importance of the music, culture, and experience that Black Banjo Then and Now represents and who are willing to do something about it.

To make this Gathering a success, we need your help and support. We need to raise funds to finance performers and scholars coming to the Gathering. We need help publicizing this Gathering. We need help with the physical arrangements at the Gathering. We also need the ideas and suggestions of everyone who loves the Banjo, Black Culture, the Blues, Traditional Jazz, and Old Time Music.

You don’t have to be in North Carolina to help. Most of the work is being done on the Internet from around the USA and beyond. Whatever time you can give will pay off in helping create this heroic gathering.
