| Singer, artist and mutli-instrumentalist Rhiannon Giddens is a talented performer of great versatility. She is equally at home singing opera in a sumptuous production, crooning torch songs in a smoky bar, or accompanying herself on banjo in an intimate coffeehouse. She grew up singing folk songs with her father, cutting her teeth on Peter, Paul and Mary and Joan Baez. She is now immersing herself in the folk music of the British Isles, particularly the music of Scotland - Gaelic airs from the Highlands, and rollicking ballads from the Lowlands.
